London Borough of Croydon

In 2015 there were 345 motorcycle casualties in Croydon, of which three were fatal and 27 received serious injury.

We would like to join the Mayor of London in his commitment to reducing road danger across the Capital by adopting a ‘Vision Zero’ approach to road danger reduction.

We feel that by being a part of the 2Wheels London campaign, the vulnerable two-wheel road user group will be better equipped, by raising their awareness of the dangers and providing the opportunity to improve their skills training.

Croydon supports Bikesafe-London

Licensed motorcyclists, moped and scooter riders can participate in Rider Skills Days where they can get an assessment of their present skills and advice to make riding in London safer and more enjoyable.

Topics cover professional riding techniques, the system of motorcycle control, common causes of accidents and first aid. Rider Skills Days are run during the week and at weekends by qualified police motorcyclists.
