Brent to allow full bus lane access

Brent Council has announced plans to enable motorcyclists to use all of the borough’s bus lanes.

Research published by the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) recently shows that riders can currently use 48% of all ‘with-flow’ bus lanes in the UK – the equivalent of 281 miles.

Additionally, the research finds that among the 208 local transport authorities in the UK, 159 (76%) operate with-flow bus lanes.

Of these 159, just 56 allow motorcycle access.

Brent Council says progress is being made to allow motorcycles to use all of its bus lanes.

Signs have already been updated on a number of bus lanes, with more to follow over the coming weeks.
