Video: find out more about Angry Al

A video presentation about 2Wheels London’s #ridebetter campaign, which featured the popular ‘Angry Al’ character, is now available to watch.

The #ridebetter campaign was developed by 2Wheels London in an effort to resonate with young riders in the Capital – and to positively influence their decisions.

The campaign first launched in August 2019 and features eight videos designed to encourage riders to use the roads in a manner that gives them the best chance of staying safe and avoid being involved in a collision.

They cover areas that contribute towards collisions such as speed, observations, overtaking, junctions and road position.

The films, developed in consultation with riders, feature the character ‘Angry Al’, who acts as the ‘devil on your shoulder’ encouraging bad behaviours. They are non-traditional and contain strong language.

The presentation was prepared by Debbie Huckle, vice chair of 2Wheels London, as part of an online event looking at PTW safety.

Organised by Road Safety GB, the event is titled ‘PTW Riders: improving safety and reducing collisions and casualties’. It is being aired free-to-all during March 2021.

The programme comprises a mix of pre-recorded video presentations, live discussion sessions and podcasts – all of which are now available to watch via the event website.
